The 32nd National Congress on Parasitology is jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) (formerly University of Pune), Pune in association with the Indian Society for Parasitology (ISP). This conference is being organized in Pune, a city which is a hub of very high-profile institutions of research and academic excellence in various areas of Science, Technology, Medicine, Defence and other disciplines. The conference would bring together eminent scientists, academicians, research students, and industry leaders working in various areas of parasitology and related disciplines, from India and the world over, to facilitate exchange of thoughts, sharing of research outcomes, promote and foster collaborations.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, it was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi was formally declared open on January 3, 1950. CSIR-NCL is a science and knowledge based research, development and consulting organization. Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune), one of the premier universities in India, located in Pune city in the state of Maharashtra, is celebrating 75 years of its existence and academic excellence. The university houses 46 academic departments, has about 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges offering graduate and under-graduate courses. The university is re-accredited by NAAC with A+ level and is recognised as a university with potential for excellence by UGC, India. It is also DST-PURSE sponsored university. The University is well known for its high quality taught courses as well as cutting edge research in frontier areas of pure and applied sciences, as also humanities and social sciences, management, and other disciplines.
Bioinformatics Centre at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) (formerly University of Pune), Pune, established in 1987, is one of the pioneering institutions engaged in cutting edge research in the areas of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology as well as human resource development through its taught masters’ and Ph.D. programmes. It is recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Government of India (GoI) (2002 – onwards) and by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), GoI (2008-13). The faculty at Bioinformatics Centre, SPPU are engaged in development of databases, algorithms and webservers in various areas of Bioinformatics. Further, the faculty also apply computational techniques to biological data in order to discover new knowledge in areas such as Structural Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics, Chemoinformatics, Molecular modelling and Simulations, Immunoinformatics, Phyloinformatics, etc.
Indian Society for Parasitology, a registered scientific society established in 1973 is affiliated with World Federation of Parasitologists and has its headquarters at the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India. The Society comprises of parasitologists, epidemiologists, clinicians, biologists and academicians working in various areas of Parasitology related to humans and other animals. The Society facilitates exchange and dissemination of knowledge as well as promotes their research and development activities in parasitology and tropical medicine research. The Society publishes the ‘Journal of Parasitic Diseases’ in association with Springer, a leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical research work. It also organises scientific meetings, which act a platform for exchange of ideas on various areas of parasitology and allied areas.

Registered delegates requiring “Guest House” accommodation need to fill up the “Accommodation request form”. Limited the “Guest House” is available. Accommodation would be provided to outstation delegates on first-come-first-served basis.
